Shopping in Toronto with #TowardsTomorrow

Many would argue that their favourite place to go shopping is at a mall or an outlet complex, for convenience and to get everything done in one area. Maybe it’s because I worked for 4-5 years in this hub, but I absolutely love shopping at Queen Street West. The mix of my favourite clothing stores with independent, local shops is so fun, and that way, when you’re putting outfits together no one else ends up wearing the exact same thing as you.

A few weeks after launching Towards Tomorrow Event, an activation put on by Toyota Canada happening at Square One Shopping Centre, they began offering test drives. We immediately jumped at the opportunity!

Let’s be real here. No one likes to be stuck in traffic, especially when you’re in a rush to get from one part of the city to another. What’s your trick to staying calm in situations like this?

James and I always have a playlist prepared for traffic jams. It consists of songs, both old and new, that we can blast and sing along as we try to get through the gridlock. We used to make CDs, themed around a road trip or occasion, back when that was a thing to do. After that started to dwindle, we began to rely on the radio a lot but thats can get boring really fast. Fortunately, we now have streaming apps like 8Tracks to make our lives easier!

Towards Tomorrow with Toyota

This year James and I are on the hunt to purchase a new car. Although the one we have right now works, we know that it needs a lot of repair and at this point it’s easier to buy a new one, something we both will love, than try to get ours fixed.

A few weeks ago I heard about Toyota hosting a Towards Tomorrow Event at Square One Shopping Centre, and we knew this was the perfect opportunity to begin our car search!
