After pinning Portugal-related things and researching its culture for the last couple of years, I spontaneously booked a flight for two to Lisbon one afternoon. I didn't know where we'd be staying or what exactly we would do, but I knew that I'd need a pick-me-up at the end of March to get over the winter hump, enjoy sunshine and welcome a new season.

I’m excited to share that a few weeks ago I got to work on a special project with Sears Canada for their Spring LOOK! Report. LOOK! Report is the very best fashion, beauty and lifestyle trends that have been hand-picked by their trend directors who search the globe for the freshest ideas. Showcasing the best of each season, LOOK! Report presents products in stories which not only embody the trend direction but also allow the product to be featured in the best way possible. It is currently published quarterly and available in store and online, you should totally check it out!

Sears Canada teamed up with eLUXE to feature items that were personally chosen by Canadian influencers from across Canada, and I was one of them! We got to style our own looks with Sears spring goodies and mix them with everyday basics we already have in our closets to get fresh new looks - just perfect for work and play this season.

I love floral dresses and bright tunics in the spring, but this year I’d like to experiment more with capris and funky printed pants. This season is also perfect for layering items like blazers and cardigans. So, here are my outfits…let me know what you think!

Summer Update

When the year started, a friend of mine told me 2014 will be one of the busiest years of my life. The project manager in me immediately told them that this wouldn't happen; but with wedding planning, an intense work schedule, condo hunting AND all my side projects (including this wonderful blog), I am now starting to realize that they were right.

Not that I'm complaining because I'm truly grateful for all that I've achieved at 25-years-old and am super excited about each of the things mentioned above, but it does get a little hectic and overwhelming as I have to divide my time each day to make sure I take care of everything I need to get done.

After working non-stop for the last 7 months I finally took a little vacay to New Jersey with family to celebrate my cousin's wedding. It was nice to spend quality time with her before she got married, and great to see all my other cousins and introduce them to James. I decided not to take my laptop so I could get away 100% and truly just enjoy being offline.

It's good to back home and at work. My blog is now 2-years-old, which is exciting and a bit hard to believe. I really hope to get back into the routine of writing regularly again; there are so many drafts that I need to complete. I also have some fun campaigns that I'll be launching soon, stay tuned!

My Ombré Experience at Oskar on Scollard

In the heart of Yorkville filled with men in suits and women with shopping bags, there lies a beautiful hair studio called Oskar on Scollard (68 Scollard, Toronto). The moment I walked in I was immediately drawn to the colour palette, unique furniture and chandeliers on the ceiling. I knew that I'd love it here.

Our Love Shoot

With less than 90 days left to the wedding, the excitement (and nervousness) is really starting to build up. For the longest time we didn't bother with an engagement shoot, thinking it wasn't something we desperately needed. Our engagement ceremony in Pakistan was more extravagant than we thought and got some great photos to share from it. However, a few friends suggested we do one for memories and just for the "fun of it", so we gave it a shot!

We finally took the time recently to do the engagement shoot and we are both SO happy that we actually went through with it. It was nice to spend a beautiful morning together doing what we love to do and having it all captured for us. For those of you iffy about engagement shoots, I highly recommend you do it! Think of a story or theme in your mind and it will make the process a lot easier and more enjoyable.

Celebrate the Summer with LUSH Cosmetics

Ever since I first discovered LUSH back in grade 12 I have been in love with their fresh, handmade products. From the bath bombs to shower scrubs and luxurious hair treatments, there isn't anything I'm not confident in trying.

I'm excited to hear that LUSH Fresh Handmade Cosmetics will be opening it's 200th store at one of my favourite spots in Toronto, Yorkdale Shopping Centre! The store will open doors to public on Friday, July 11, 2014 and I am SO honoured to be hosting the grand opening with three of my close blogger friends: Elaine Atkins (Toronto Beauty Reviews), Jenny Jovanovic (Crazy Style Love) and Deanne Castro (My Fash Avenue).
