I remember when I was a little girl, peplum was huge. All my older aunts and cousins were into the look; peplum tops, dresses, skirts, pants, you name it, they had it! I thought it looked hideous, but I was also a tomboy and despised the colour pink. Here I am about 11 years later, wearing a bright pink and black peplum dress and I just love it!
Peplum is definitely here to stay for a while. If you invested in this trend earlier this year, try to pair it with darker, more subtle colours and you're ready for fall/winter 2012. I've also been eyeing peplum jackets and can't wait to find the perfect one to add to my wardrobe!
