It’s hard to believe that summer is coming to an end soon. My husband and I are trying to make the most of our last few weeks before chilly nights start to get in the way!

We made a pact to explore the city as much as we could, so we got new bikes at the beginning of the season and have put them to very good use. I’m happy to report that we’ve done everything you plan to do during the summer months including BBQ dinners, weekend getaway to the cottage with friends, a lot of ice cream dates and a fun little picnic with my adorable niece. At last... it's the big reveal! Earlier this month James and I announced that we're going to explore to the second-hand economy to buy a Christmas present for each other.

We went to vintage shops together, bookstores, and then some more shops to try to find gifts. It helped because we got a good sense of what the other person was looking for, but ultimately, turned to Kijiji to find the perfect gift! Continue reading for big surprise.
