Insta-Monday: Holiday Edition

Playing a little bit of catch up here since I haven't done one of these in a while. This is the first full week back for most people since the holidays, hope it's amazing for you all!

Insta-Monday: #SparkSessions!!

I've been talking about Spark Sessions for month (online and offline), and I can't even express how amazing it was to see our little project come to life in a big, bold way!

This is a quick run-down but I'll be doing a more lengthy one soon with lots of photos and details. :)

2. Our opening keynote speaker was Jeanne Beker! She had a very inspirational speech and answered so many great questions from the audience.
3. I moderated a couple of panels throughout the weekend, one of them being about my favourite topic: Branding, Blogging and Social Media! Our speakers were Sheryl Bhagga, Crystal Gibson and Nicole Wilson.
4. James was at the conference all day and night with the team! He was such a great helper and did everything he was asked. :)
5. Our closing keynote speaker was Elaine Lui a.k.a. Lainey Gossip! She is just so awesome and funny... it was a fantastic way to end the conference.

Insta-Monday: World MasterCard Fashion Week (Spring 2014)

Another season of World MasterCard Fashion Week (Toronto Fashion Week) came and went. Unfortunately I wasn't able to attend due to other commitments, but I did manage to catch a few and got to hang out with blogger friends as well. It's always fun to catch up and admire stunning collections on the runway together!

Listed from top to bottom, left to right:

1. First up was a Town Shoes x Trend Marketing event in celebration of World MasterCard Fashion Week. We got to preview shoes from brands including Vince Camuto, Jessica Simpson, BCBG Generation, Arturo Chiang and many more. I fell in love with these Lucky Brand owl sandals!
2. We were lucky enough to go home with a pair of Sam Edelman flats. I can't wait to style mine! Loved their display.
3. My date for the Town Shoes x Trend Marketing event was the lovely Elaine (Toronto Beauty Reviews). So happy I got to see her!
4. I didn't get to the tents of World MasterCard Fashion Week until Wednesday, and spent the entire time attending shows with Amber (Canadian Fashionista)!
5. Met and hung out with one of the sweetest girls, Zeba (Ella Pretty).
6. For my second night I got to hang out with Tiffany (TC and the City), Katelyn (The Skinny Blonde Girl), Rica (The Office Chic) and Naghmeh (The Fashionista Bubble).
7. This was my first time seeing Christopher Bates' designs and I really liked the Spring 2014 collection. I've always admired mens fashion so it was nice to see well-tailored suiting on the runway. Each look was classic!
8. I had a really good view of Klaxon Howl's Spring 2014 show and thought it was interesting. It was casual but a lot of it was still everyday-office appropriate. These were my favourite looks from the collection.
9. It's no secret Whitney Linen is one of my favourite Canadian designers. I got to work with her earlier this year and it was a show I could NOT miss! She makes linen look so fabulous and the print she used for Spring 2014 worked SO well with the neutral colours. Jewelry was by Marka Designs, who I also had the pleasure of working with.
10. One of my favourite shows this season during World MasterCard Fashion Week was TARGET! The energy and music was so fun and made all of us feel like Christmas was already here. Loved how all the outerwear was styled. I'm so glad I didn't miss this show!

Insta-Monday: Globe Style Advisor, Revlon x Marchesa Nails & More

1. Took inspiration from the latest Globe Style Advisor (mens edition). Stay tuned for a cool look that I can't wait to share!
2. Photobooth fun with some of my girlfriends at a western-themed birthday party this past weekend.
3. The Soya Boutique sent me Soya Skin products; I've been using the sugar scrub and serums and my skin is so, so thankful.
4. How exciting to get an exclusive preview of Revlon x Marchesa nail art! I'm going to experiment with one of the designs this week and will share it if I can do a good job.
5. Three Works Apple Ch!ps were on Dragon's Den last week and they got a deal! It was quite exciting and they sent some goodies in celebration of this.

Insta-Monday: Almay Eye Makeup Removers, Silk Threads, Broadway Nails, Massimo Dutti & More

From top to bottom, left to right:

1. Came home to a surprise from Almay Canada! Fortunately I just ran out of my eye makeup remover so this package arrived just in time.
2. I received this beautiful tunic from Silk Threads that I can't wait to style!
3. Bought these mugs from Dollarama, aren't they adorable? :)
4. Nails galore! I think I should have a manicure party since Broadway Nails sent me a year's supply of products.
5. Massimo Dutti recently launched online shopping in Canada, so I got a few goodies including these gorgeous oxford shoes. I've wanted a pair like this for 3-4 years now!

Insta-Monday: Sweet Grass Spa, Marc Jacobs Beauty & More

From top to bottom, left to right:

1. Received an amazing gift and invitation from Sweet Grass Spa in Toronto.
2. Also got a few products from the new Marc Jacobs Beauty line to try. I'm in love with the chic yet minimalist packaging.
3. Spent the weekend away from the computer and just relaxing outdoors.
4. James' dog Frenzi has been ill for the past week and has to wear the cone around his neck. Needless to say, he still looks adorable as ever.

Insta-Monday: Scaddabush, California, Rebecca Minkoff & More

1. Went to Scaddabush (Square One) with my girlfriends the night before leaving for California and had a delightful experience! They make fresh pasta, cheese and dessert daily.
2. I took this photo in California while eating brunch - still can't believe it was my cousin's backyard.
3. My cousin's engagement party was held in the backyard with a candlelight setting; it was stunning!
4. Photo of me and my mom while waiting in line to the Universal Studios Hollywood tour in California.
5. I finally caved and got the Rebecca Minkoff Mini MAC bag in this rust orange colour. I'm so obsessed that I've purposely been wearing outfits to match my new bag. :)
6. Tried Halo Halo for the first time at Bubbletease (new location in Mississauga), which is a Filipino dessert, and enjoyed it. I will have to find a more authentic place to have it again - I'm sure it will be a million times better!
7. Snapped a quick photo with my niece this weekend. Hello, why is she growing up so fast?!

Insta-Monday: Happy Birthday to Me!

I debated a little about whether I should announce that it's my birthday or not, but I turned 24 today which is kind of a big deal, so why not! I celebrated with some of my closest friends this past weekend and I'm really looking forward to going home tonight and relaxing with my family.

2. My custom tea subscription from Taste Cha finally arrived. I'm already in love with the peppermint-flavoured tea.
3. Went thrift shopping with ladies from Shoppalu and found the cutest items, like these chairs.
4. Finally got the chance to visit Magnum Canada's pop-up shop in Yorkville and loved the entire experience.
5. Received goodies from Verseo courtesy of Chic Darling. Thank you!
6. Attended a fabulous intimate dinner held by Ecco Shoes Canada and Brill Communications and got these boots as a gift. Can't wait to style them for fall/winter!
7. The rest of the photos are from a birthday party I held for my close friends on Saturday night. It was a fantastic time and really good to hang out and relax with good company.

8. Spent the rest of the evening at Beach BBQ & Brews with friends.
9. Met a reader and Twitter follower of mine, Erica! It was such an awesome realization for the both of us.
